Analytical and Comparative Review of Islamic Studies Helping Books Taught in Higher Secondary Institutions of Dera Ghazi Khan District

Abstract:

According to the Constitution of Pakistan, the education of Islamiat has been made compulsory up to the graduation level and thus the subject of Islamiat has been declared compulsory from class one to the graduation level. Books from the first grade to the twelfth grade are published by the Provincial Text Book Board at the official level under the title of Islamiat Lazmi. While no book is published at the graduation level under the auspices of the government, rather the Higher Education Commission provides the curriculum to universities across the country. Over the past few years, the atmosphere of competition for admission to professional institutions has increased immensely, as a result of which there has been an increase in the demand for helping books among students to score maximum marks. This trend has increased in general in all institutions, while in private educational institutions, the preparation and use of support books is given special attention., We will present an analytical and comparative study of the helping books used in private institutions for compulsory Islamic studies at the higher secondary level to assess the content of compulsory Islamic studies and its impact. Dera Ghazi Khan district was selected for this assessment and a survey method is adopted to get the opinion of the stakeholders.
