Abstract:

The term annotations (Taaliqaat) refer to such details related to the text through which additional information about the text is obtained, but they are not indispensable. In Islamic Sciences, this term is often used in the context of Hadith literature. Some Hadith experts compiled annotations of different Hadith books. Moulana Faiz-ur-Rahman Al-Souri is also one of them. He was an expert in the science of the names of narrators (Asma-ur-Rijaal). He has compiled valuable annotations on the books of Hadith sciences. In this paper, the methodology of description and research of his Taaliqaa has been analyzed.
