Abstract

One of the conditions of a “Saheeh Hadith” is that it should not be ill/accused or infrequent. The most powerful source to know the illness and infrequency is individuality, as it is directly related to the reasons that lead to the illness of Hadith. Therefore, the discussion of separation or individuality is of great importance among the hadith narrators because it has a major role to play in the final ruling on Hadith according to its actual status. Separation or individuality means that a narrator should go alone in a part of the chain of transmission while narrating the narration. According to the latter, the order of separation is usually based on the narrator’s condition. If the narrator is weak, then the narration is rejected, Trustworthy is acceptable, And if it is moderate, then the narration will be considered as good. But this is not a general rule. The practice of the pioneers is that they take into account the authenticity of the narrator as well as the various other clue-based evidence too. In their light, they accept some narrations of the trustworthy individuals as well as reject some. That is, if the clue-based evidence is in favor of accepting the narration, then they accept the narration, and if the evidence is in favor of not accepting, then they do not accept the narration. Imam Bukhari is considered to be one of the foremost narrators of Hadiths. According to him, separation alone does not lead to illness, but it is decided in the light of other clue-based evidence. He is considered to be the Imam of the illness of Hadith. That is why he has not allowed any Hadith to be a part of his book “Saheeh Bukhari” which has any weakness that causes the invalidation of Hadith. He has collected only those Hadiths which meet the criteria of the hadith narrators and are famous among him. That is why his book has the status of the most correct book after the Book of Allah. Nevertheless, we see that some of the Hadiths of Sahih Bukhari have been discussed in terms of individuality. The following article clarifies his point of view on individualism and the nature of these objections as well as the method he has adopted in accepting these narrations.

Keywords: Illness, Infrequency, Denied, Trustworthy, Individuality, Pioneers, Late, Clue-based evidence (Qaraain), Bukhari.
